CWA Sydney City is committed to fundraising for essential community projects including lesser known health and medical research, education scholarships, disaster relief and greater CWA projects. Our current medical research project we're raising awareness and funds for is pancreatic cancer. Other years have included ovarian cancer, endometriosis, motor neuron disease and umbilical cord blood stem cell research, just to name a few.

You may have seen us out and about,
around Sydney’s inner city having fun fundraising and, and increasing awareness of the Association.

Jam making is our forte! Who would have thought?!

Great handmade jams and chutneys are fast becoming synonymous with CWA Sydney City, and since we started in 2014, we have sold thousands of jars of preserves at a number of gourmet markets such as the Sydney Living Museums ‘Christmas Fare’ at Hyde Park Barracks in the CBD, the Northside Produce Markets at North Sydney and also at the Carriageworks Farmers Markets at Everleigh.

We also fundraise through other Branch, Group and State initiatives as well as special one-off community events.

Who we do this for:

  • thousands of dollars are enthusiastically raised annually to help rural NSW children and their families with much needed educational scholarships

  • over the last few years we’ve raised funds for medical research specifically into Crohn’s Disease, Lyme Disease and Endometriosis

  • we’ve also supported organisations such as the Royal Hospital for Women Gynaecological Cancer Foundation and the National Council of Women with the sponsorship of scholarships for rural women completing their tertiary studies.
